Depending on the type of card (e.g., standard ID cards vs. Passports), the reader will output either a 2-line or 3-line text block. Every single line is exactly 30, 36, or 44 characters long, padded with filler arrows (<).For standard Type 1 (TD1) Identity Cards (the most common for regional IDs), the format is 3 lines of 30 characters each:Line 1: Document Type (2 chars) + Issuing Country (3 chars) + Card ID/Document Number (9 chars) + Optional elements.Line 2: Date of Birth (6 chars YYMMDD) + Gender (1 char) + Expiry Date (6 chars) + Nationality (3 chars).Line 3: Holder’s Name (Primary identifier/Last name, followed by << then First names).
